Bruce Springsteen previews Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition with live performance of 'Open All Night'
The never before fully performed album will be available to view on October 17.
Bruce Springsteen has shared a live performance of ‘Open All Night'.
Shot without an audience by Thom Zimny at New Jersey’s Count Basie Theatre, Larry Campbell and Charlie Giordano assisted in the instrumentation of the record, with help from Rob Lebret on the mixing.
Never performed live in its entirety, a Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition box set is set to release on October 17.
The five‐disc collection includes a remastered version of his 1982 album Nebraska, solo outtakes, the long-rumored Electric Nebraska sessions with the E Street Band, and a newly filmed full‑album performance.
The Electric Nebraska disc revisits several tracks from the original album in full-band versions, including ‘Atlantic City’, ‘Johnny 99’, and ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ as recorded by Springsteen, Max Weinberg, and Garry Tallent.
The film is presented without narration, commentary or dialogue. “Only the voices of the characters are heard,” Springsteen says.
A biopic of the singer starring Jeremy Allen White is set to release in cinemas on October 24. Directed by Scott Cooper, the movie explores the period when Springsteen created Nebraska.
