Bruce Hornsby announces new album featuring Bonnie Raitt, the late Bob Weir, and more

Three-time Grammy winner Bruce Hornsby has announced a multitude of collaborators slated to appear on his new album Indigo Park.

Among them is the late Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead. As a member of the Grateful Dead's touring band, Hornsby frequently worked with Weir from the mid-1980s onward and appeared on seven Grateful Dead records. The two also performed together in rock outfit RatDog.

Weir can be heard on 'Might As Well Be Me, Florinda', accompanied by Blake Mills on guitar.

Americana icon Bonnie Raitt will lend vocals to the album's eighth track, 'Ecstatic'. Hornsby played piano on her 1991 hit ballad 'I Can't Make You Love Me'.

Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig will feature on the album's second track, 'Memory Palace'. Koenig was previously featured on Hornsby's 2022 album 'Flicted.

The late Grateful Dead lyricist, Robert Hunter, is credited as a songwriter on Indigo Park. Drummer Chris Dave and bassist Pino Palladino also contribute to the record.

Bruce Hornsby is an American singer-songwriter and pianist whose Grammy wins include Best New Artist with band The Range in 1986, Best Bluegrass Recording in 1989, and Best Pop Instrumental in 1992. His last Grammy was for 'Barcelona Mona', a song written for the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.

Hornsby has announced a North American tour of the album with his longtime band, the Noisemakers.

Indigo Park is out April 3 via Zappo Productions/Thirty Tigers.
