Doves - Mercury nominees, authors of the lovely The Last Broadcast, and consisting of one part "sensitive artist" to two parts "greedy bastards" - to play Dublin in mid-November
Doves celebrate their recent Sounding Off appearance with a Dublin Ambassador show on November 15.
It's part of an extensive UK and Irish tour - which may well serve as a lap of honour for them winning the 2002 Mercury Music Prize, as the Mancunians are joint 4/1 favourites to walk away with the £25,000 cheque when it's handed out next month in London.
"I'd give it to distressed donkeys or something but Jez and Andy (Williams), well, they'd kick the crap out of each other to get the twenty-five grand," laugh singer Jimi Goodwin. " I'm the sensitive artist, they're the greedy bastards!"
