Broadcast 2000
joe steer’s indie-folk project comes good.
Currently the darlings of the British acoustic indie folk scene, Broadcast 2000 is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Joe Steer. Steer specializes in non-threatening tunes in the vein of Noah and the Whale (in fact NATW’s fiddle player Tom Hobden guests on the record) and their debut album is a fun listen from start to finish. ‘Get Up And Go’ is near perfect feel-good summery pop, whilst creaky strings of ‘That Sinking Feeling’ give the band a much needed x factor and ‘All Is Said And Done’ could very well see them break into the mainstream.
