Brian McFadden has temporarily traded in his music career for one in TV presenting Down Under.
Westlife star turned soloist, Brian McFadden has decided to rest his vocal chords for a while. Instead he is set to present a footie show on Australian television.
His new show is called Football Superstar and will start in June on the Fox 8 channel. The eight part series selects 15 footballer wannabes, throws them in a mansion and lets them live the life of a footballer.
A kind of pop idol for footballers, the group is whittled down to the one who shows the best ball skills. The lucky winner will then be appointed Australia’s Football Superstar by the manager of Sydney FC, John Kosmina.
McFadden released his new album Set in Stone in April and has, until now been touring Australia with it. Recently on the Living With Lucy show, McFadden spoke about how settled he feels in Australia with girlfriend Delta Goodrem despite missing his two daughters, which he has from his previous marriage to Kerry Katona.
While McFadden will but music on the back-burner while filming Football Superstar, he will still be performing some gigs in Sydney and publicizing his album.
