Brian Kennedy has joined the cast of Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma, with Irish tour dates set for June.
The show will appear at Dublin’s Vicar Street on June 20 and 21, and Limerick’s University Concert Hall on June 24. The production explores the early life of Thin Lizzy frontman Philip Lynott, and debuted at Vicar Street in April. It blends live performances of Thin Lizzy classics with theatrical storytelling, with Kennedy taking the role of Oscar Wilde. Tickets are on sale now.
“I’m beyond thrilled to be part of Moonlight and of course to bring something new to the legend of Oscar!” said Kennedy. “I feel like I have finally met Phil Lynott and Brendan Behan.”
The show was created by John Merrigan and Danielle Morgan, and directed by Jason Figgis. Peter M. Smith stars as Lynott. It is brought to audiences by Zero 3 Productions, AMA Music Agency and Aiken Promotions.
