Brian Eno blasts the Tories on new charity single
All proceeds from the new single will go to homeless charities.
In the run-up to the British general election, legendary musician and producer Brian Eno is taking aim at the Conservative Party with his new single, 'Everything's On The Up With The Tories'.
The satirical track blasts the Tories' record on homelessness, Brexit and the NHS: "They're selling off the NHS to cowboys/ They're cutting back on nurses but investing it in hearses/ The nitwits and the we-don't-have-a-clue boys."
From glamming up with Roxy and collaborating with Bowie on his Berlin trilogy, to producing U2 and creating his own ambient masterpieces, Brian Eno has always been firmly placed at the cutting edge. In a rare interview for the recent Hot Press 1000th issue, Eno spoke candidly about politics and the environment.
Back in 2016, he was vocal about his opposition to Brexit in the run-up to the referendum, and has publicly supported Jeremy Corbyn since penning a opinion piece about the Labour leader in the Guardian in 2015.
All proceeds from the 'Everything's On The Up With The Tories' are set to go to homeless charities. Take a listen below:
