Brian Cox announces Dublin and Belfast visits
The king of the cosmos is bringing his live show to Irish shores
Professor Brian Cox has announced a 2016 tour that will see him hit Dublin and Belfast.
The physicist will be “freewheeling on the edges of the known cosmos” - which we can only assume isn't as dangerous as it sounds - and will also be interviewed by his The Infinite Monkey Cage colleague Robin Ince.
Cox works on the Atlas experiment at the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland, but it's his broadcasting work - where he's known for his comprehensive yet comprehendible explanations of the universe around us - that he's best known. (He was also a member of D*Ream - though that particular nugget isn't mentioned too often anymore.)
The announcement is of particular interest to those who like to plan ahead, as the shows won't take place until around this time next year; he visits The Olympia Theatre on November 19, 2016, while heading to Belfast's Waterfront Hall on November 23.
Tickets - priced from €35.50 and £33 respectively, are on sale from Monday.
