Bren Berry announces debut solo album In Hope Our Stars Align
The former Revelino guitarist is launching his new album coupled with a brand new solo single
Irish musician Bren Berry will release his debut solo album In Hope Our Stars Align on Jan 31, 2025. The announcement is accompanied by the new album mix of 'Winter Song', and a new full-colour version of the original black & white video for the track, produced and filmed by Sofft Productions in The Liberties and Vicar St.
This album signifies a significant milestone in Berry's musical journey, inspired by his work in 2020 remastering his band Revelino's debut album, released in 1994. Through his own project, he reconnected with songwriting, creating a body of work that delves into both personal and societal introspection.
Produced alongside Gavin Glass at Orphan Studios and mixed by Daniel James Goodwin, the album features contributions from a host of talented musicians, including the Orphan Quartet on four tracks arranged by Cormac Curran.
Berry describes the 12 tracks as “a collection of love letters and protest songs which are layered with hope and an intentional sense of positivity."
"The album title is taken from the song Fire Drill and is inspired by Seamus Heaney’s lines “hope and history rhyme” and “hope for a great sea-change” from The Cure At Troy.”
In Hope Our Stars Align will be available on streaming platforms on Jan 31, 2025
