Born This Way [Music Video]

Gaga's (admittedly visionary) make-up artist Billy Brasfield has said that he cried when he saw the final edit of the music video 'Born This Way' for the first time. Truth be told, I shed a tear too, on hearing Bernard Herrmann's iconic prelude from Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo put to such frivolous use. This seven-minute mini-epic sees Ms. Germanotta, who's clearly been too busy pillaging ideas from deceased directors to have a sandwich in the last six months, cantering around in her smalls, gyrating with the walking undead and hanging out with hundreds upon hundreds of Gaga heads. Discreet. That said, I have to admit that the final close-up of Stef, newly gap-toothed and wonky-eyed, is rather moving.
