Borders Big

I will always keep a spot on my iTunes for Welsh rockers Feeder, mostly because it’s practical to have a few oversized indie rock ballads to hand if I ever have to get on a ferry. In case you need reminding, the high-pitched opening whoop of their biggest hit ‘Feeling The Moment’ soundtracked every commercial, reality show and sporting event that took place from 2005/6, and oddly enough, ‘Borders’, the first single from their eighth studio album Generation Freakshow, begins with an almost identical stadium-ready refrain. It’s a neat trick, but I’m not sure it’ll work in this fickle post-James Blake, pre-Skrillex age.
