Bones
Trend-dodging Londoner Michael Kiwanuka falls halfway between Bill Withers and Van Morrison on ‘Bones’, the hopeful, jivesome fourth single from his critically-acclaimed debut album Home Again. Sounding out in his typically old-school croon, repeating the heartbreaking line, ‘I long to be alone with you’, Kiwanuka has done well to seek out similarly vintage-sounding production. A gorgeous track in any era.
