Bobby Shmurda announces Halloween show in Dublin

Bobby Shmurda has announced he will play a special Halloween show on October 30 at Dublin’s Chillers On The Green.

This marks the American rapper’s first performance in Ireland.

Shmurda went viral in 2014 for his track ‘Hot N****’, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached No. 10 on the UK Official Hip Hop and R&B Singles Chart. He also popularised the accompanying “Shmoney Dance” in the music video for the track.

In December 2014, he was arrested alongside members of his crew on conspiracy, weapons and reckless endangerment charges.

Shmurda pleaded guilty in 2016 and received a seven-year prison sentence. He was released in February 2021 and subsequently returned to dropping independent music and performing.

In July of 2021, he performed at Rolling Loud Miami as a special guest, marking his return to the stage. The following month, French Montana threw a New York homecoming party, bringing out Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel as special guests.

That same year, he released ‘No Time for Sleep (Freestyle)’ and ‘Shmoney’ (featuring Quavo and Rowdy Rebel).

In 2023, he performed at the BET Awards, alongside Chief Keef and the Ying Yang Twins, in a special segment celebrating trap music.

Most recently, he released ‘BEND OVA BUSS IT (Remix)’ in June and ‘Bag & Tag Em’ in February.
