Bob Weir, Dr. John, Lucinda Williams to take part in The Band tribute
In honour of The Last Waltz's 40th anniversary
Forty years ago, The Band performed their star-studded, acclaimed final concert, The Last Waltz. This Saturday, the Americana Music Association will honour that show with an NYC tribute show.
The Grateful Dead's Bob Weir will join Last Waltz performer Dr. John, Lucinda Williams, and a host of other acts to perform music from The Band's legendary show.
The event is free and requires no ticket, so if you're in New York, swing by Damrosch Park!
Below, check out 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down' from Martin Scorsese's documentary film about the farewell show.
