Bob Dylan returns to the recording studio
Bob Dylan is set to return to Dublin's 3Arena on November 25
Bob Dylan has recently spent two days recording in White Lake Studios in Colonie, New York.
The 84 year old singer is currently on the road with Willie Nelson on the Outlaw Music Festival Tour until September. Shortly after Dylan will embark on the UK and European leg of his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, playing Dublin's 3Arena on November 25.
Rough and Rowdy Ways was released in 2020, making it Dylan's 39th studio album and his most recent release of original songs since Tempest in 2012.
On Friday, White Lake announced that the singer/songwriter and members of his band had visited their studio.
"Legendary music icon Bob Dylan, along with members of his band, spent two days this week at White Lake Studios in Colonie, New York," read the statement.
"The studio team had been preparing for the visit in advance and worked diligently to ensure discretion and privacy throughout the sessions."
"We want every artist and guest to feel relaxed and at home. We've had the privilege of working with many remarkable talents over the years, but this visit was truly special. I'm incredibly proud of the team," added David Bourgeois, CEO of White Lake Studios.
It's unclear what Dylan was working on during his time in the studio, as details weren't disclosed.
The legendary singer's 2024 biopic, A Complete Unknown was a box office success and spiked Dylans streams on music platforms by 150% in the weeks following its release. He also saw some of his earlier work re-enter the US and UK charts during this time, including the renowned The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan and Highway 61 Revisited.
