Black Skinhead

Even as an out-and-proud Kanye lover, I was sceptical about adding something called ?Black Skinhead‘ to my summer playlist, not because I don‘t like a bit of social commentary with my pop tunes, but because I wasn‘t sure how I‘d feel about bopping blissfully around my bedroom to a song about the lengthy struggles of black Americans. Although this deliciously feral number does make reference to serious issues, like Chicago‘s black crime problem, it also masterfully treads the line between momentous and entertaining, somehow becoming more powerful in the process.
