Black Sabbath Unveil Final Ever Concert Dates
The Birmingham band will be wrapping things up at home.
Heavy metal legends Black Sabbath have revealed their final ever tour dates. The band will play six dates across the UK in early 2017.
Black Sabbath will play their final ever show in their hometown of Birmingham, England on February 2 and 4. In an interview in March guitarist Tony Iommi said, "Birmingham means such a lot to us. It would be nice to think it could finish where it all started, in Birmingham". Iommi beat lymphoma in 2013 but has since said he is simply not physically able to go on longer tours.
Original Sabbath members Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, bassists Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward reunited in 2011 but Ward subsequently quit before the reunion tour began. Ticket details will be announced next week.
The band will also play shows in London, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.
