Bill Murray to release Christmas single with Phoenix

It's going to be the season of good Bill to all men this Christmas, as Mr. Murray gets very festive indeed.
As we previously reported, the star of Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, Lost In Translation and more is set to host an hour-long Christmas special for Netflix.
A Very Murray Christmas will feature a raft of his most famous pals, including George Clooney, Chris Rock, Miley Cyrus, Amy Poehler and Michael Cera.
Not only that, to coincide with that December 4 show, the actor will also release brand new 7-inch 'Alone On Christmas Day'. It is a collaboration with French rockers Phoenix, and will also feature Jason Schartzman, Paul Shaffer and David Johansen.
Murray became friendly with the band through his connection to singer Thomas Mars' wife, Lost In Translation director Sofia Coppola. He has described Mars as "the only Frenchman that could play rock and roll ever."
Mars told Hot Press in 2013:
"Bill is the coolest guy I’ve ever met. He’s the best. He’s just constantly redesigning the system, everything. He is the law. There’s no higher."
