Beware Of The Bird
Von Stroke delivers a decent debut of what could – at worst – be described as Tejada-esque boompty.
Von Stroke delivers a decent debut of what could – at worst – be described as Tejada-esque boompty. The drums are rough, the bottom end is heavy, but it’s more techno than house. Ya dig? It’s functional, contemporary club tackle, but it works – as on the robotic building techno funk of the title track, the irritating/catchy ‘The Whistler’ and the ominous ‘Who’s Afraid Of Detroit’. There are a number of fillers, but there’s still enough here to warrant a spin.
