Bernie Sanders is coming to Dublin for Dalkey Book Festival
The former Presidential candidate will travel to Ireland for the first time.
The Dalkey Book Festival 2017 will be hosting ‘An Evening with Bernie Sanders’ at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on Sunday June 4 2017.
The Vermont Senator will be joined for a conversation with David McWilliams.
The pair will be discussing, among other things, Bernie’s alternative vision for America and the world, spelled out in his best-selling book, Our Revolution.
The conversation is a festival preview event with the Dalkey Book festival taking place from June 15th – 18th.
Event festival director Sian Smyth said: “It is an extraordinary privilege for the Dalkey Book Festival to host Bernie Sanders, we are truly delighted to bring him to Ireland for the first time.
“He is an iconic political figure of our time, a stunning orator and with such turmoil in the US and globally we are very much looking forward to hearing his thoughts and insights.”
Tickets for ‘An Evening with Bernie Sanders’ are priced from €15 (which includes a copy of his book ‘Our Revolution: a future to believe in’, retailing at around €11.99).
They go on sale at 9am on this Friday (28 April) and are available from The Dalkey Book Festival website or from the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.
