Bernie Sanders Introduces Run the Jewels At Coachella

The democratic candidate Bernie Sanders introduced Run The Jewels on stage at Coachella via video.

During Sanders' presidential campaign he struck up and lasting friendship with rapper Killer Mike. The two appeared on talk-shows together to speak about a host of issues, most notably the Black Lives Matter campaign and police brutality incidents.

"One of the highlights for running for president over the past year has been getting to know Killer Mike," Sanders said earnestly. "His depth of passion, his knowledge and commitment to community, is an inspiration to me and i value his friendship immensely."

He added, "EL-P keep up the good work and let's get to know each other better in the months to come."

DJ Shadow, Gangsta Boo, Despot, Gary Clark Jr and Nas also made appearances during El-P and Killer Mike’s set.
