Because We Can
Wait, what year is this? Bowie. Bon Jovi. ‘Fairytale Of New York’ still bouncing around our heads and Madonna not too long gone from the charts. Throw in a re-issue of Bruce Willis’ ‘Under The Boardwalk’ and it could be 1987. Stretch it back to early 1987 and I haven’t even been born yet, which means that I better hurry up; the ink on this page is likely to disappear at any moment. Ahead of their Slane extravaganza in June, Jon and the boys have created a growling Dad rock anthem just like all their other growling Dad rock anthems. Pleasant enough to belt out in your Peugeot 205 (or whatever you might have been driving 25 years ago), but otherwise, a bit of a non-starter. Move along, folks. Nothin’ to see hear.
