Beat Company
Nearly every song here is a potential single, and they sound like the type of tunes R Kelly would sell his doo-rag for.
Featuring more keyboards than a Jean Michelle Jarre Vs Gary Numan synth-off, the rather crappily named Sugarush seem keen for us to get our funk on for their debut album. Comprised of session soul singers Rahsaan Patterson and Ida Corr and Australian master beat-maker Jaz Rogers, the band deliver large helpings of Prince-sized tuneage aimed at clubbers who enjoy the good times (‘No Parking,’ ‘Sugarush’). Nearly every song is a potential single on the slab of wax (such as the filthy electro-pop of ‘L-O-V-E’) and they sound like the type of tunes R Kelly would sell his doo-rag for.
