Beach Slang 'Dirty Cigarettes' - Track Review
Appearing on their just released EP Cheap Thrills On A Dead End Street, the band’s latest is the sound of young heads and old hearts; of bruised souls and battered instruments. Infused with a similar energy that made the Gaslight Anthem’s first album utterly glorious, Philly’s Beach Slang make beautiful, life-affirming rock ‘n’ roll for the misfits and the down-trodden. This latest effort suggests they’re a band on the cusp of very big things indeed. Fans of Hot Water Music et al should feel duty-bound to check this out. 2015 is theirs for the taking.
