Basht announce Button Factory gig
Tickets for their biggest show to date will go on sale Wednesday, April 29.
Basht have announced a Button Factory gig, set to take place on November 7.
The show follows the release of their debut album Poor Advice, out October 9 via Lab Records.
"Poor Advice is a bruising concept album that traces the tangled wires between power and those crushed under it," said Basht's vocalist and guitarist Jack Leavey about the album.
"Through 10 tracks, it maps the old dance between church and state in Ireland, where pulpits and governments traded sermons for policy and shaped a generation with guilt, silence, and obedience."
"It then pulls that thread into the present, following how moral authority has been outsourced to boardrooms and barracks, with the military industrial complex running like a grim metronome: conflict brewed, weapons sold, grief managed, contracts renewed."
The group also shared the record's lead single 'Perfume' last week, earning a spot on Hot Press' New Irish Songs To Hear This Week round-up. Produced by Ali Chant (Dry Cleaning, Perfume Genius, PJ Harvey), the song is about the relationship between a father and son, who recounts his parents' marriage falling apart.
Basht are currently wrapping up their headline UK and Ireland tour. They previously supported bands such as DEADLETTER, Everything Everything, Wunderhorse, Been Stellar and Goo Goo Dolls.
In 2024, they released their Debut EP Dirty White Lies, followed by Bitter and Twisted in May 2025. The band comprises Leavey, lead guitarist Lughaidh Armstrong-Mayock, drummer Ryan McClelland, and bassist Louis Christle.
Tickets for their Button Factory gig will go on sale on April 29 here.
