A mere six months old, Best Boy Grip is the brainchild of Derry singer and pianist Eoin O’Callaghan, who specialises in winding chamber pop in the vein of Neil Hannon and Ben Folds. BBG’s debut four-track EP opens with title track ‘Barbara’, a thundering, almost spooky anti-love song, featuring a rather unexpected and frankly startling rawk guitar solo.
