Bandit run
If it's tales of drug dealing excess you're after, look no further than The Smuggers Tour
The spoken word tour which takes in Vicar St., Dublin (18th); The Arches, Glasgow (19th); City Varieties, Leeds (20th); The Masque, Liverpool (21st); Conway Hall, London (22nd); Watershed, Bristol (23rd); and The Pavilion Theatre, Brighton (24th).
The Class 'A' night out features arch-felons Allen Long and Howard Marks, and U.S. author Robert Sabbag who'll be plugging the follow up to his Snowblind epic, Smoke Screen.
"Allen Long," explains the cover blurb, "flew dilapidated DC-3s into the heart of Colombia's bandit country, avoided detection by America's most tooled-up law enforcement agencies and brought back cargoes worth millions. He was a pioneering dope smuggler – doing it with aplomb and panache like no one else."
Maeve Binchy it ain't!
