Ayala '5157 Miles' - Track Review

For the last year or so, Irish-born, LA-based singer Ayala has threatened to break into the mainstream with her pop and r ‘n’ b flavoured songs. Buoyed by 2013’s ‘The Sun Has Come’ (remixed by Joey Negro), the current single sees the performer in a soulful mood. Inspired by a bout of homesickness (there are 5157 miles between Dublin and LA), the track has a jazzy rhythm and an excellent hook. Recommended for fans of Corinne Bailey Rae and Emeli Sande.
