Audiokiss 'I Don’t Wanna Say' - Track Review
An ongoing studio-based project involving ex-In Tua Nua players and current members of The Guilty Party (Shane MacGowan’s sometime backing crew), Audiokiss trade in lush, jangly, melodic adult-pop/rock in the Fleetwood Mac/Crowded House vein. Their first release in several years boasts a terrifically soulful vocal from newcomer Megan Burke and an engagingly melodic tune that recalls the spirit of the Mac’s ‘Dreams’, with hints too of Hall & Oates. With rock-solid backing, particularly from Ireland’s finest rhythm section – namely Jack Dublin on bass and Paul Byrne on drums – this has all the ingredients of a future radio classic.
