A distinctly 21st century mash of quirk-laden panpipe honks and grimy ascending synth throbs may well be the only thing separating ‘Attracting Flies’ from a Little Mix-style girl group ballad, but there’s a kind of magic in setting Aluna Francis’ cooing vocals to heavy, edgy electronics. An ironically sweet kiss-off song with potent seductive powers, this one will hook fans of R&B and electronica in equal measures.
