Aslan top the charts
Enduring Irish band on top once more...
Current Hot Press cover stars Aslan have reached the top of the mountain at the first time of asking, with seventh studio album Nudie Books and Frenchies going straight in at #1 in this week's Irish album chart, fending off stiff competition from former White Stripes man Jack White, whose debut solo album Blunderbuss shoots into second place.
It means that Mick Flannery finally falls down the pecking order following his three-week stay at #1, with his Red To Blue now residing in third spot. Nicki Minaj and Adele round out the top five while Irish grafters The Riptide Movement debut at #6 with sophomore effort Keep On Keepin' On. Look out for an interview with the lads in the next issue of Hot Press.
One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Bruce Springsteen and Lana Del Rey complete the top ten. To view the full chart, click here.
