Rising star releases dark debut album
Hotly-tipped indie pop songstress Kyla La Grange’s debut is a dark and impassioned opus that occupies a similar musical territory to Bat For Lashes. Over five years in the making (the half-Zimbabwean/half-South African England-based tunesmith has been working on these songs since her teens) the album can be dense, but after a few listens ‘Walk Through Walls,’ ‘Woke Up Dead’, ‘Vampire Smile’ and the Stevie Nicks-esque ‘I Could Be’ really showcase her abilities. One to watch.
