Ash release limited-edition 7" Singles Box-Set

Team Hot Press got rather dewy-eyed last week when Ash’s ’94-’04: The 7” Singles Box-Set thwacked onto our doormat.
It contains ten vinyl re-pressings of such classic guaranteed reel teenager tunes as ‘Petrol’, ‘Uncle Pat’, ‘Girl From Mars’, ‘Goldfinger’, ‘A Life Less Ordinary’, ‘Wild Surf’, ‘Shining Light’, ‘Sometimes’, ‘There’s A Star’ and ‘Clones’.
Limited and numbered – ours is # 0031, the tunes and their accompanying B-sides look every bit as cool as they sound with the original artwork meticulously reproduced.
We remember Tim Wheeler mitching off school in 1993 to do what was his first-ever Irish interview with Hot Press’ Lorraine Freeney.
The rest, as they say, is rock ‘n’ roll history.
