Ash announce Whelan's date
Downpatrick's finest will make their way to Dublin this Summer
Be still our hearts - indie rockers Ash have confirmed a Dublin date this Summer! The trio will play a headliner in Whelan's on Monday June 6.
The band, who formed in their native Downpatrick in 1992 (how time flies!), released critically acclaimed debut 1977, four years later, which spawned gems like 'Oh Yeah' and 'Goldfinger'. Their most recent release was 2009's A-Z Series, which saw them release 26 singles in one year - one for each letter of the alphabet.
Tim and Mark from the band were kind enough to drop by the Hot Press Signing Tent at last year's Oxegen, and delighted fans poured in to have their photo taken with the boys (HP's Maeve Heslin included!).
Tickets for the Whelan's show, priced €19.50, go on sale this Thursday, April 21, from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link].
