Artists play full capacity gigs since England's Covid-19 restrictions lifted
With Covid-19 restrictions fully lifted, 'freedom day' got off to a roaring start with live music all over London.
England removed all legal limits on large gatherings yesterday (July 19) and full capacity gigs returned.
Sports Team and Frank Turner were among those to play the first non-socially-distanced gigs since March.
Turner performed at the Clapham Grand in London, where he played the first government-backed socially distanced gig last summer, for a full capacity show.
On the other side of the city, Sports Team performed a special gig for Banquet Records at the Pryzm venue.
Dubbed 'Freedom Day', yesterday saw the end of all Covid-19 related restrictions in the UK.
The UK government announced that from September, anyone attending a nightclub or a "large crowded setting" will be required to be fully vaccinated.
This new legislation comes after nightclubs and cinemas rejected government advice for venues to request Covid passports from attendees, with eight out of 10 venues saying they would not implement a voluntary policy.
