Arctic Monkeys are releasing a new song on January 22, raising money for charity War Child, which protects and supports children affected by conflict.
Earlier this month, the non-profit organisation shared a post on Instagram, suggesting that a charity album was in the making.
Now, War Child Records have confirmed that Alex Turner and co have joined forces and will be sharing a new song later this week.
The title of the song has not been shared, but it will mark the first new music from Arctic Monkeys since the release of their latest album The Car in 2022. The band headlined Glastonbury during their world tour in 2023, which also included a stop at Dublin's 3Arena.
War Child released the Help album in 1995. The record featured artists such as Paul McCartney, Oasis, Blur, Radiohead and Sinéad O’Connor, raising over £1.25million (€1.43million) in aid for war-stricken areas, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina.
