Aphex Twin surprise releases two new tracks on SoundCloud

Aphex Twin has released two new tracks to his Soundcloud account user18081971 on Thursday, ‘Zahl am 1c f760m1 unfinshd,’ and ‘Zahl am1 live track 1’. They appear to be alternate versions of the same song.

The electronic artist wrote in the description for the tracks: “Got many requests for this one from a few years back. Italy, pic with my love from Sicily recently. Need sun, relentlessly raining in the UK. Mixed down on the Zähl, think there are better mixes, will upload them if I find them.”

The two tracks mark the new music from the Limerick native since he shared the surprise compilation Music From The Merch Desk (2016-2023) last December.

He also released an extended edition of his classic 1994 record Selected Ambient Works Volume II in October 2024, including the previously vinyl-only track ‘#19’ alongside two additional tracks.
