Andrew's Pride

The accompanying blurb notes that 'Andrew's Pride' - the first release from stargazing Wexford foursome Futures Apart - carries a distinctly familiar sound and, for once, the PR jargon's right! New Order, Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran have all been here before and more recently, to a poppier extent, Hurts. Though it's far from original, this track is massively brash, deliciously camp (did they just drag a guy called Andrew out of the closet?) and most importantly, utterly thrilling from start to finish.
