All Tvvins’ Lar Kaye on leaving Adebisi Shank
Their farewell gigs may have been emotional, but Adebisi Shank guitarist Lar Kaye tells Hot Press that it’s onwards and upwards with new band All Tvvins.
All Tvvins – made up of Lar Kaye and Conor Adams – are the purveyors of powerful, muscular, 80s inspired synth rock. They’re also, as it happens, a large part of the reason why Lar felt it easy to leave Adebisi Shank behind.
“It wasn’t hard to leave,” says the guitarist. “If I didn’t have anything else, I definitely would have found it tough. But I’ve got this band!”
With a whistle-stop run of Irish dates lined up for next month, audiences will have a chance to check out the band in live action – something that turned quite a few heads at this year’s Electric Picnic.
“After we were done, Blondie came up and said they loved the set. Debbie Harry was watching from the side. They were really cool, having the craic.”
You can check out the full interview with All Tvvins in the new issue of Hot Press, on sale now.
