All Those Friendly People
It’s easy to believe that the same Funeral Suits who created ‘All Those Friendly People’, a song that’s currently earning them hefty pats on the back from Zane Lowe and the good folk at the Huffington Post, also came up with ‘Helsinki, ‘Black Lemonade’ and several of the band’s older fan favourites; over the past three years, the Dublin trio’s sound has barely veered from their booming, clanging Empire Of The Sun-esque electro pop. Really, the only thing that’s new here is the enchanted touch of Stephen Street (Blur, Morrissey), who has done a typically terrific job of beefing up the band’s chart appeal.
