All That Haunts Us
Too wholesome for me
All the ingredients in LOWmountain’s folk-music debut are the musical equivalent of carefully sourced organic vegetables and healthy freerange livestock (i.e. lovely sensitive guitar playing and well pitched male/female vocals, all given plenty of space in the mix). The overall effect, however, is like eating a solid and wholesome meal prepared by an ethical health-food fanatic. It’s nice and all, but before you know it you’re driving into town at midnight looking for a filthy Supermac burger (cheap Casio keyboard) or at the very least a Pot Noodle (autotuned vocal) from a late night petrol station.
Key Track: ‘Don’t Lose Your Faith’
