Alice Cooper announces autobiography Devil On My Shoulder
You can pre-order the book below.
Alice Cooper has announced his autobiography Devil On My Shoulder, set for release on October 8.
The book follows his "journey to hell and back", featuring insight into his career as well as private life. According to Cooper, the book will cover "wildness and criminality, urges and addictions, transgressions and human goodness".
Exploring his two personas – the theatrical rock star, and "the sober pastor’s son" - Cooper will look back at his 62-year-long career.
There will also be anecdotes featuring Salvador Dalí, John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Andy Warhol, Tiger Woods, and more.
"Alice is still on tour around the world today, a proper senile delinquent playing hundreds of gigs every year, while I myself am reformed," said the rock legend about his alter ego.
"And with the benefit of hindsight and a certain maturity, I’d like to describe our journey to hell and back together, because it’s not only rock stars who can lose their way."
To celebrate the release, Cooper will kick off his book tour this autumn. All dates will take place in the UK, starting on October 11 at Cardiff's New Theatre.
Last July, the singer reunited with his original group for an intimate show in London for the first time in over 50 years. That same year, they released their eight studio album The Revenge Of Alice Cooper.
