Albatross

There's perpetual love in HP HQ for mad scientists Wild Beasts, so it goes without saying that we were expecting marvellous things from 'Albatross', the first track from the Lake District lads' upcoming third album Smother. This winding, piano-based number is softer than previous singles 'Hooting And Howling' and 'All The King's Men', and considerably less sexually charged, but Hayden Thorpe's skyscraper croon is so glorious, there's little need for complaint.
