Adele stops Walking On Cars from regaining top spot
Songstress continues her reign atop the album chart
Adele continues to withstand the challenge of Ireland's finest at the top of the Irish album charts.
Last week it was Little Green Cars that pushed her all the way, and this week it's Walking On Cars that are her nearest challengers - but the record-breaking lung-buster holds onto her spot at the top.
Everything This Way keeps the aforementioned Walking On Cars in red-hot pursuit, as the album continues its extraordinary success some eight weeks after release. It keeps Justin Bieber's Purpose and the 3Arena-bound The 1975 trailing in third and fourth, while last week's big new entry, Little Green Cars' Ephemera, sits at No. 5.
Post Pop Depression, the collaborative effort from Iggy Pop, Josh Homme et al. enters the rundown at No. 6 - which is the only major news in the upper reaches. Regulars Ed Sheeran, Hozier and Nathan Carter all feature in the remainder of the top ten, while Gwen Stefani's first LP in nearly 10 years was apparently less highly-anticipated than expected, as the No Doubt frontwoman can only reach No. 17.
