Adele makes UK Album Chart history with another No. 1
The singer's sophomore effort returns to the top spot this week.
Close to one full year after its release and after 50 straight weeks on the UK Album Chart, Adele's 21 is at the summit once more. It's also made some history. The album has now been at No. 1 for 19 non-consecutive weeks, the most since Simon and Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water back in 1970.
Its five place rise means that Ed Sheeran's + tumbles down to third, whilst Bruno Mars remains a non-mover, with Doo Wops & Hooligans still at No. 2. Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto and the late Amy Winehouse's Lioness: Hidden Treasures complete the top five.
