Lock up your religious leaders: infamous heavy metal mess-makers Slipknot bring their rubber masks, penchant for onstage defecation and heartwarming family-values-type spectacle to the Point
What did we say yesterday about the summer getting better and better for metal fans? August 27th sees those masked metal marauders, Slipknot, opening their Irish account with a visit to the Belfast Odyssey.
The Americans were due to play Dublin's Point Theatre last year but pulled after protests from religious groups. Given his past objections to the likes of Boy George, it'll be interesting to see if the Rev. Ian Paisley has any thoughts on their patented brand of noise terror.
