"All the beef is sorted"
...Or is it? Mani has definitely NOT left Primal Scream, despite recent reports to the contrary from none other than Ian Brown. "The last time I spoke to Mani," Brown told us this weekend, "he was sending two kids to dangle that Gillespie out the window"
Mani has denied reports that he's left Primal Scream... whilst admitting that he may have given that impression to his former Stone Roses colleague Ian Brown!
Talking this weekend to hotpress.com, Brown insisted, "He's just left Primal Scream. Am I sure? Absolutely, 100% certain. The last time I spoke to Mani he was sending two kids to dangle that Gillespie out the window. He's in a new group now, man, called Scorpio Killers. It's him and a couple of young lads sounding like The Stooges."
Asked to confirm the validity of this, Mani laughs, "Ian caught me in full rant! All the beef is sorted!"
Friends again, Mounfield added that he's looking forward to touring the next Primal Scream album – a six-month trek that's likely to include a Witnness stop-off in July.
As for Scorpio Killers, they definitely exist as a side-project and will be unleashing a CD before the end of the year.
