23 Skidoo
Since this album came my way dressed only in a white promotional sleeve and an accompanying press release for the wrong record, I've had to work blindly without the benefit of any prior information about 23 Skidoo.

Essentially, it's progressive modern jazz, an album of soothing lounge-core cuts which make the odd nod to various different musical styles.
Many tracks have a cinematic film-score feel, from first 'Freeze Frame' to the sinister atmospherics of 'Catch 23'.
'Dirty Lo' is a robust ragga number with dark Tricky touches in the drawled vocals.
'Dusk To Dawn' is funky stuff with heavy bass and smooth, horizontalizing stuff which got me so relaxed that I could hardly get it together to type up my review. It won't stir you into action, so just lay back and go with the flow.
