The 1975 unveil 'Me & You Together Song' on Annie Mac's 'Hottest World Record'
Is this a 1975 song, or a Third Eye Blind song?
A few months ago, British alt rock band The 1975 released 'People,' the first track from their highly anticipated album Notes On A Conditional Form, finally proving that they would not be pigeonholed by genre. Yesterday on Annie Mac's Hottest World Record, the band released 'You & Me Together Song,' which sees the group experimenting with genre once again.
'You & Me Together Song' is an upbeat, feel-good dream of a track, where Healy sings "I've been in love her for ages / but I can't seem to get it right / I fell in love with her in stages / my whole life." This is what music was like in 2002, but better. Notes On A Conditional Form will close out The 1975's "Music for Cars" era.
The album is slated for release on April 24th. Immediately after its release, the band will embark on a North American tour, with support from indie darling Phoebe Bridgers and Beabadoobee.
