12 Points seek young jazz stars for next year's festival
The showcase is on its travels next year - and are looking for bright young talent to come along
12 Points - the dynamic festival of young European jazz - is on the hunt for a dozen of the best and brightest young acts to take part in next year's renewal.
The unique festival - which operates on a home-and-away system, alternating between Dublin and continental Europe - celebrates its 10th edition next April, at a yet to be announced location in Europe. Recent ‘away’ editions include the 2014 festival in Umeå, Sweden and 2012 in Porto, Portugal.
Improvised Music Company, the Dublin based producers of 12 Points festival, have now made their open-call for young artists playing jazz or related, experimental music to apply to perform, and follow in the footsteps of acts including Alarmist (pictured), Thought-fox and ReDivideR.
If you're under 35 years old, and fancy the chance to be exposed to bookers and media from across Europe - as well as getting to know your European jazz/experimental contemporaries - then jump over to [link]12points.ie/apply[/link] to throw your jazz hat in the ring.
